A quick and easy recipe for teriyaki chicken prepared in a crockpot, perfect for busy families.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- Cooked rice for serving
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the slow cooker and stir.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
Ensure you don’t overcook the chicken. You can add extra vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for more flavor.
