A simple yet delicious one-pot teriyaki chicken dish, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey (or brown sugar), and sesame oil.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
- Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
- Garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for juiciness; adjust sweetness to taste. Add veggies for extra nutrition.
