A comforting and hearty meal made in the slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup of long-grain white rice
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the rice on top of the chicken mixture (do not stir).
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender.
Notes
Avoid lifting the lid while cooking to retain heat and moisture. Feel free to adjust spices to your preference.
